A DIFFERENT APPROACH TO FAMILY LAW

Family law cases require a level of compassion and dedication that some lawyers simply don’t understand. A process like navigating a contested family law matter, for example, can be complex and difficult even in the best of times, and it can feel almost impossible to manage when you are emotionally distraught. While there are a great number of family law and divorce lawyers in Sydney to choose from, few of them truly appreciate the needs of families like Damian Phair.

Damian has a simple, but clear, desire to provide quality representation to people facing tough legal challenges. His skill in litigating multi-faceted and complex family and matrimonial law matters helped quickly establish the firm as a leader in this area. He gained a reputation in the legal community for being a fierce advocate for clients, while maintaining the highest level of professionalism, allowing him to build productive relationships with all parties involved. He has successfully litigated thousands of contested family and matrimonial law cases, including many highly contested cases, involving issues such as international and interstate relocation, allocation of parental responsibilities, allocation of parenting time, child support, spouse maintenance, adjustment of marital property and debts, and premarital agreements, just to name a few.

Damian completed his Bachelor of Laws degree in 1999, a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice in 2001, a Legal Practice Management Course in 2007, a Masters of Applied Law in Family Law in 2014 and in 2015 was awarded Specialist Accreditation in Family Law from the Law Society of New South Wales. On 1 June 2001, Damian was admitted to practice as a solicitor in New South Wales and on 10 October 2007 was admitted to the High Court of Australia; having practised continuously in Family Law and Divorce Law since 1 June 2001.

Damian’s connections in the North Shore and its environs run deep, and he is proud to utilise his skills and experience to help people in this community. With a high degree of education and accreditation in family law, Damian is uniquely capable of understanding the significant impact of the provisions of a marital settlement agreement or child support agreement on a family’s finances for years to come, and he appreciates the importance of fiercely advocating for the best interests of his clients.

Today, as the Principal of Chatswood Family Lawyers Damian heads a team of talented family lawyers who have dedicated themselves to the unique practice of family and matrimonial law. The Firm has been highly selective in adding lawyers, choosing only litigators, attorneys who represent clients in court on a daily basis. Chatswood Family Lawyers is dedicated to providing the finest representation available for litigants in the North Shore area. And, yet, even as Chatswood Family Lawyers continues to grow, each and every client still receives personal attention and representation from Damian.

After more than twenty years of service, our clients’ testimonials speak for themselves. If you are facing a challenging divorce or family law issue, call Chatswood Family Lawyers today to schedule an appointment.
